FOR THE WORK OF MINISTRY DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING FOR MINISTRY TRAINING FOR PASTORS

equip

Ephesians 4:11-16

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors, and teachers, to equip his people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Equip is pastoral-led training that is offered through a variety of studies, seminars, classes, and tracks to equip God’s people to serve the Lord in the church. Study subjects like Christian worldview, theology, Bible interpretation, and biblical counseling. Explore the meaning and significance of God’s Word. These subjects will serve to equip you to handle life and interact with the world from a biblical basis.

September Seminar

Psalms: Songs in the Keys of Life

Learn how the psalmists built their unique poems that still speak to us today.

According to most estimates, at least one-third of the Old Testament is poetic. Often, the reader or interpreter's experience with English poetry clouds their understanding of Hebrew poetry when reading their English translation. Even the most experienced Hebrew readers find understanding poetic texts in the Old Testament challenging. English Bible readers must navigate a literary category that is foreign to many and learn to recognize the effects of different stylistic features. These include structural elements such as repetition and parallelism, as well as poetic devices like simile and metaphor. Come and learn how the psalmists built their unique poems that still speak to us today.  The seminar is for men and women.
