Our Values

THE LORDSHIP AND SUPREMACY OF CHRIST

Jesus Christ is the the head of the Church and the Lord of all. He has the supremacy. Therefore, we purpose to give Jesus Christ the first place in everything. He is first in our church, first in our families, first in our jobs, first in our recreation, and first in our affections (Psalm 73:25; Matthew 22:37-38; Colossians 1:18; Romans 12:1-2; Philippians 2:9-11; Revelation 1:9-3:22, 19:16).

THE AUTHORITY OF SCRIPTURE

The authority of Scripture is valued because the Bible is God's written revelation to man. It is inerrant in the original documents, infallible in all that it says, and sufficient to instruct in all matters of faith and practice. Therefore, we submit to its authority and seek to order our our lives and church according to what the Bible says (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 1:1-2; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Revelation 22:19).

BIBLE EXPOSITION

Bible exposition, the accurate and relevant teaching and preaching of the Scriptures, is essential to the spiritual vitality of our church. Therefore, we are committed to the exposition of Scripture (2 Timothy 4:1-2; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:42).

THE UNITY OF THE CHURCH

God has unified us in Christ through His Son's sacrifice and substitutionary atonement. Therefore, we are diligent to protect the unity of the body through all humility, gentleness, patience, and love (John 17:20-23; Ephesians 4:2-3; Philippians 2:2; I Corinthians 12:12-13).

WE FOCUS ON PEOPLE

Scripture teaches that the purpose of the church is to glorify God through worship, edifying the saved, and evangelizing the world. The local church doesn't exist to attract and entertain the lost. When a church tries to attract the lost, it will prioritize meeting people's felt needs rather than glorifying God. Therefore, we are committed to evangelizing the lost without compromising our love for one another (Matthew 28:18-20; John 13:34-35, 15:12; Romans 12:10; Colossians 1:9-12; 1 Thessalonians 5:11, 23; 2 Peter 3:18; 1 John 3:11, 4:7, 4:11-12).

PERSONAL HOLINESS

God granted us undeserved grace and called us to Himself. Therefore, we desire to totally consecrate ourselves to Him and be set apart from false religions and worldly and sinful practices by living lives of obedient righteousness and the continual pursuit of holiness for His glory and our good (Romans 6:4, 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 5:9-13; 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1; Colossians 1:10; Titus 2:11-14; 1 Peter 1:15-16; 2 Peter 1:5-9; 1 John 2:15-17, 3:1-10).

INTEGRITY

Integrity is not divided (that’s duplicity) or devious (that’s deception) or merely pretending (that’s hypocrisy). We value integrity because it is linked to our function as an image-bearer, sanctification, and glorifying God. Therefore, we reject duplicity, deception, and hypocrisy. We aim to live what we believe in public and private. We honor Christ and love others by living our life with honesty, righteousness, truthfulness, and humility (Psalm 15:2; Proverbs 2:7, 10:9, 11:3, 20:7, 28:6; Matthew 7:1-6, 23:13-33; I John 3:18).

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We are humbled by the faithful giving of our people and convinced of our duty to be above reproach in all financial matters (1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 8:19-21; 9:6-8).
